The Owen Center provides Christ-centered, biblical counseling to individuals, couples, and families.

- Our counseling focuses on knowing, trusting and following Jesus Christ who is the crucified and risen Lord and Savior, the ultimate remedy for personal and relational brokenness.
- Our counseling understands and honors all people as those made in the image of God.
- Our counseling relies upon the true words about ourselves and about Jesus revealed in the Bible. We counsel convinced that God’s Word has authority and sufficient truth for every life and circumstance. That same Word invites everyone to live in a personal, healing relationship with Christ.
- Our counseling conduct is guided by the love, kindness, truth and compassion of Jesus, the great Shepherd and Counselor.
- Our counseling seeks deep and lasting transformation of the inner life and the outward lifestyle.
Who Are Our Counselors?
Owen Center staff counselors have professional degrees in theology and/or counseling and are certified or in the process of attaining certification with the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC).
Counseling Apprentices and Interns have been approved by our board and participate in continuing education, training, and oversight. We may ask your permission for them to sit in on an appointment for training purposes.
Our counselors are not state-licensed counselors and we do not provide “professional” or “psychological” counseling.
For Whom Do We Provide Counseling?
We provide counseling to people in our community without regard to their means or background. Applications for counseling are reviewed by a counselor before acceptance.
Is There a Financial Cost?
The Owen Center asks that those we counsel invest in their own counseling by donating to the Center according to ability. The scale below suggests the appropriate investment. Your investment allows us to continue to counsel you and others.
