ABC Certification Course 2025-26:

The Owen Center is excited to announce a new partnership with the Association of Biblical Counselors! Starting in November of 2025, The Owen Center will be offering a Level I ABC Certification class for those interested in gaining more insight, wisdom and knowledge in applying biblical counseling principles within their context. 

Details:

The first class will begin in mid November of 2025 and run through June of 2026. This course will include weekly readings from the ABC curriculum, articles from CCEF faculty members, and 20 hours of in person training with Owen Center counselors. This class will be for a Certification in Biblical Counseling, so the workload will be somewhat rigorous, but flexible. The hope is that those who complete the class come away with a philosophy and methodology of biblical counseling that they can utilize within their local church contexts under the guidance of their church leadership. 

Costs: 

Cost includes class materials, ABC membership ($100), Journal of Biblical Counseling subscription(~$40), grading, training, and facilitating(~$1100)

          • Owen Center Church Partner Referral*: $950 total  
          • Non-Owen Center Partners and non-church partner referral: $1200 total 

• • • • • • $450 is due for everyone to begin the class, with the rest due upon completion.

* If a church plans on donating funds towards someone’s certification, we suggest the church giving the funds directly to the student to use towards the class.
