Value of Counseling:

The Board of Directors requires the counselors of The Owen Center to be academically trained and experienced counselors. To maintain the high standard of quality and availability for counseling that you receive, each counseling hour must be valued accordingly at $135. However, as a non-profit counseling center, we are committed to making biblical counseling available and affordable to our community by offering counseling rates below the market average.

Sliding Scale:

Therefore, our counseling services are offered on a sliding scale based on your household’s adjusted gross income. We ask that you honor the investment agreement by being honest and forthcoming about the counseling investment you are able to pay. Without your counseling investments, we simply cannot continue to provide counseling at the rate we offer.

Updated Fee Structure Per Session:

• Income Below $50,000: $75 per session
• Income Between $50,000 and $100,000: $100 per session
• Income Above $100,000: $125 per session

 

Payment Options:

• Cash or Check: Payments are due at the beginning of each counseling session.
• Credit Card: We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.

Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee of $50.

 

Please note: In the event of a financial policy change, The Owen Center will give a 60-day notice.

Financial Support:

In some cases, financial hardships can make it difficult to pay your full counseling investment. You may request a reduced rate with our financial office (334-329-5259). Together, we can explore options such as payment plans or reaching out to your church or community resources to assist with the financial burden.
